VIKASH ANAND

VIKASH ANAND
The dare devil Kart Racer
sets tracks ablaze

Vikash, the unassuming lad from Chennai is set to race ahead to break records in the Karting world. Starting serious racing at the age of 12, in just a year, Vikash is setting the tracks ablaze.
In May 2008, Vikash’s international racing career debuted at the Rotax Mojo Asia Karting Challenge and he blazed the track to take the honour as the champion in the Junior Novice Category, in the midst several Asian competitors.

During the August 2007 Amaron Karting Challenge, Vikash flew past over 300 contestants. Based on his consistent and improved performance in his rookie year, he finished third in the MRF-MAI World Formula Junior Indian National Karting Championship, conducted by the MAI along with FIA (Federation de International Automobile) and CIK (Confederation of International Karting). This was Vikash’s first big moment of glory, as he stepped on the podium.
Vikash is a class IX student at the prestigious AMM School at Chennai. He was attracted to motorsports from a young age and he kept following the karting action very keenly. The smell of rubber and the vrooming karts sparked the desire to not only take to the wheels but to become a Champion. His passion turned to racing and everything about racing inspired this little lad. His heroes are Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna and closer home his heart beats for Chennaiites Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandok.

Absolutely committed to racing, Vikash has taken the sport very seriously and with true dedication. He’s a quick learner and every race is a lesson in action, helping Vikash pick up intricate driving skills. Vikash has started his fitness training and is keen to enroll at racing academies at Malaysia and Europe to be practicing under the careful eyes of senior racing coaches. Becoming the world’s best racer and bringing pride to India occupies this racer’s mind, heart and soul.
